Italy through Public Transportation

[LIST UNDER CONSTRUCTION]

IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER:

BOLZANO:

  • By car: autostrada A22 – Exits Bolzano Sud or Nord. You can’t park along the roads as those parking spots are reserved for the residents, you have to use specific parking areas. I advise you to check https://parking.bz.it that allows you to see in real time where you can find available parking spots.
  • Public Transportation: Train Station – Bolzano; closest airports – Verona and Innsbruck. I really recommend you to reach Bolzano by public transportation, since in South Tyrol they have a very efficient and well-connected system. When travelling within South Tyrol it’s possible to use a single card for all the means of transportation (trains, buses, lift-systems) thanks to Rete Trasporto Integrato https://sii.bz.it/en For those staying at local hotels, ask the staff since there are special offers.

PESCHIERA DEL GARDA: it’s on the train line Venezia-Milano and/or Venezia-Torino. Make sure to take a train that actually stops there (not all the fast trains stops in Peschiera). Coming from Venice, Peschiera is the stop just after the main station of Verona (Verona Porta Nuova). [Train company: Trenitalia]
